Studio 904 hires and trains licensed and unlicensed stylists. Studio 904 is one of the few salons that has been awarded certification from the state of Washington as a Training Agent for the state's apprenticeship program. This means we are now able to do what we always wanted to do. That is, we find and hire bright and talented people who enter our salon's very own nationally-recognized training program. Our Protégé designers can now receive their state cosmetology license after they receive 3,000 hours of our salon training.

Kay Hirai, founder of Studio 904, has very high standards for the quality of work the salon provides to our clients. She believes that we can develop high quality employees who will be engrained in our salon's Kaizen culture and give every client hair cuts, styles and colors which are unique as their own signatures. This training process is personally overseen by Kay Hirai and the salon's senior level trainers.
