KAIZEN…. A Japanese word for “life-long learning in small incremental steps”. Learning to learn is the most important skill needed if you want to practice KAIZEN.

How to practice KAIZEN in your business and in your life:

 1. Build a passionate business model!

·      Use vision, mission and values to guide you daily.

·      Work on your business, not in your business.

·      Build systems for consistent service delivery.

·      Let the customers be your company’s trainers.

 2. See the BIG PICTURE!

·      Dream and be passionate!

·      Know who you are, what you want to become.

·      Consider “quality of life” when you are setting your goals.

·      Become a mentor and groom future leaders.

 3.  Attitude is everything!

·      See everything as what it can be vs. what it is.

·      Work on yourself vs. blaming others.

·      Reflect on your mistakes and consider it a learning experience.

·      Learn how to be a “good learner”.

 4. Show me the Money!

·      Take responsibility for protecting the bottom line.

·      Learn to be a good money manager in personal life and in business.

·      Always give some away.

·      Watch your money every day.

 5. Make everyone your partner!

·      Be inclusive and honor diversity.

·      Pick people who match your ethical beliefs and philosophical view.

·      Don’t teach by telling people “what to do”, tell them “why to do”.

·      Create a “win-win-win” solution when making decisions.
